Michael A. Tams
Founder and CEO
Michael Tams is the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Balanced Government, a registered 501(c)(4) founded in 2007. He graduated from North Central College in 1996, where he studied business management. His work background includes thirteen years of experience in financial services and commercial banking. Mike has worked in the non-profit sector and is an elected township official. In 2009, Mike was the President of Hamilton Strategic Group, a business consulting company which provided financial and strategic consulting services to small and mid-size companies.
Mark R. Misiorowski
Past Board Member; currently Special Counsel to the Organization
Mark Misiorowski is the owner and Senior Attorney of The Misiorowski Law Group in Naperville, Illinois. After earning a B.A. in Government from Beloit College in 1980 he began his career in Washington, D.C. as a lobbyist for large, national construction companies, working with Congress, USEPA, and White House staff to write and pass Clean Water Act and CERCLA legislation.
He earned his J.D. from DePaul University School of Law and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1985. After 20 years in private practice specializing in environmental and insurance coverage cases, first with Goggin Cutler & Hull then Williams Montgomery & John, he opened his own firm in 2004.
Jeff Jentgen

Jeff Jentgen is the founder and President of Fostrian Business Capital, an independent commercial lender that specializes in providing working capital loans to companies through accounts receivable financing (factoring). Headquartered in the Chicago, Illinois Metropolitan Area, Fostrian serves clients across the United States. Prior to founding Fostrian in 2006, Mr. Jentgen spent twenty years in various leadership roles in the commercial finance industry.
Adam Andrzejewski

Adam Andrzejewski is the founder and President of For the Good of Illinois, a 501(c)(4) non-profit, social welfare organization whose mission is to promote self-governance in Illinois by engaging, educating, and empowering citizens to demand a limited, accountable, and transparent government of, by, and for the people. Prior to founding For the Good of Illinois in 2007, Mr. Andrzejewski founded and ran a successful family business with his brother. In 2009, Mr. Andrzejewski temporarily resigned from For the Good of Illinois as he ran as a reformer in the Republican Party’s Gubernatorial Primary. When the campaign ended in early 2010, Mr. Andrzejewski returned to For the Good of Illinois to continue working to reform units of government across Illinois.
